Sun Face

Cottonwood Root Sun Face by Hopi Carver Robert Allison.

Tawa represents the spirit of the sun. He is not often personated. He appears in dances, although not tee frequently. but may appear as a side dancer or in a mixed dance. The face represents the sun and the feathers depict sun rays. This carving is 16 x 6 inches.
