Edward Bohlin came to America from Sweden as a young man seeking adventure and a job with the Buffalo Bill Cody show. He soon found himself working on a ranch in Wyoming. Being an artist at heart, he began to fashion his own cowboy trappings, attracting the attention of local customers. It didn’t take long before he opened his own shop in Cody where he worked to create new designs with an eye toward quality and originality. This ethos attracted the attention of Hollywood cowboys, leading him to California to make a name for himself and establishing Bohlin as the silversmith to the stars. Bohlin and his skilled craftsmen helped define what is appreciated and imitated still in contemporary western style. Today, the artisans at the Bohlin shop trace their lineage back to Bohlin himself, passing down the craft from one Master Silversmith to another. Embracing this heritage, they innovate in design and create in the same spirit as Edward, looking forward to the next 100 years.
