Presenting the third and final drop of the Polo Ralph Lauren x Naiomi Glasses collection, the inaugural collaboration of the Ralph Lauren Artist in Residence program, reflecting our evolved design approach with the artisans and communities that inspire us. The Polo Ralph Lauren x Naiomi Glasses collection honors Navajo heritage and centuries-old weaving traditions. Naiomi Glasses is a seventh-generation Diné (Navajo) textile artist and designer whose work reflects the beauty of her Indigenous culture. This concluding assortment captures Naiomi’s love for rodeo culture, its heritage, and its deep connection to the Navajo way of life. Grounded in denim and rich indigo hues, these pieces find inspiration in the signature attire of Navajo rodeo contestants and the color of Dinétah (Navajo Nation) skies. This unisex denim cap is meticulously embroidered with a horseshoe graphic that pays tribute to Naiomi’s love for rodeo and her home on Dinétah. Dyed with indigo and featuring a roughout suede bill, it is finished with chain-stitched embroidery of traditional four-directional crosses at the side. The four-directional cross and the number four carry great significance in Navajo tradition, as well as in other Native communities. They reference the Earth’s four directions and the stars.
